To minimize accommodation costs in Vancouver, consider staying in the city of Richmond, where the Vancouver International Airport is located. Hotels are less expensive than in Vancouver and Richmond offers many local attractions.

A light rail transit system called the "Canada Line" connects Richmond to Vancouver. Trains run every six minutes from downtown Richmond and every three minutes from the Richmond Casino.

The Canada Line also stops at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
